Brunch next weekend

Tis the season for family, and shopping..and food. Figured we'd try and carve out an hour or so to touch bases with the scooter folk before the craziness hits too hard. Sunday December 7th. 9:00 AM. Old Mill Cafe. Give me a heads up if you can make it. I know things are a wee bit insane these days. As always those that are on two wheels are welcome, don't care what vintage, what brand. Tiffany here, filling in for Marty. I know things are crazy this time of year (and getting crazier), but was wondering if anyone wants to do a breakfast/brunch ...maybe early December? Watch Out! It's Getting Bigger!

All of a sudden the fledgling Modesto Area Scooter Club has grown much larger! And it looks like it might get even larger yet. Thanks a lot to Gail at Cycle Specialties in Modesto for helping promote the club through the vespa modesto website and the Cycle Specialties mailing list.

The ride to Knights Ferry on Sunday was a lot of fun. A very diverse bunch of riders and scooters. Thanks to every one for not leaving me (the "runt of the litter") behind on my little 50cc Vino.

Keep your eyes on this blog for news of upcoming events. There has been some talk of of joining in the Modesto Christmas parade (or Festival of Lights or whatever the heck they call it). So most likely we'll have at least one more meeting before then to see what to do about that.

Thanks to all who came to the breakfast on the 14th.

Following the coffee and mimosa fueled discussions on the patio of the Mediterranean Grill, the Modesto Scooteños are now the Modesto Area Scooter Club! (Well . . . I, for one, should know that gang humor is probably an oxymoron.)

Furthermore . . . Sunday morning on October 5th, the MASC (and anyone who cares to join them on any kind of scooter-like apparatus) will be putt-putting up to the wonderful 'hood of Knights Ferry for some crazy scooter shenanigans.

We'll be meeting at the Old Mill Cafe on 9th at F, around 8:00 a.m. Who knows what the weather will be like, but long pants might be an idea.
